In our second episode of ‘Beyond The Canvas’, I have a chat with Dublin based artist Miriam Smithers. In the midst of the many laughs, we talk about everything from her feelings of imposter syndrome, six degrees of separation, being asked to design a pair of Converse and her upcoming ‘Artist in Residence’ exhibition at the 59 Collective in Powerscourt Townhouse.

I’m thrilled to launch our brand new series, ‘Beyond The Canvas’, where I chat to Irish artists about their work, the ups and downs of being a creative person, what inspires them and plenty of laughs thrown in. In each episode I will go behind the scenes with my guest, sitting down with them in the very place where they create their work - their own studio. It’s raw, it’s honest and it’s an absolute privilege to be invited into such a personal space.
